Zelensky Visits White House Again, Trump Urges Russia and Ukraine to 'Stop Here'

The Russia-Ukraine war has lasted for more than three and a half years. On the 16th, after a phone call with Russian President Putin, U.S. President Trump met with visiting Ukrainian President Zelensky at the White House on the 17th. After the meeting, Trump stated that the talks were very interesting and cordial, and called on both sides to stop the killings and reach an agreement to 'stop here.'

According to Central News Agency reports, this is Zelensky's third visit to Washington since Trump returned to the White House, to discuss the Russia-Ukraine war. The talks lasted more than two hours.

According to information provided by the accompanying media, when Trump arrived in Florida by plane after the meeting, he said in an interview that he had told the leaders of Russia and Ukraine to immediately stop the war and 'take the current frontlines as the boundary, otherwise the situation will become too complicated.'

Earlier on social media, Trump wrote that his meeting with Zelensky was very interesting and cordial. “But I told him, as I strongly suggested to President Putin, now is the time to stop the killing and reach an agreement!”

He also said: “Enough blood has been shed, borders are drawn by war and by courage, they should stop here, let both sides claim victory...no more firing, no more deaths...”

The Russia-Ukraine war has lasted for more than three and a half years. Since returning to the White House, Trump has been trying to facilitate a permanent ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine, but so far has not been able to secure any major concessions from the Russian side.
