(Malay Yee, 25th) The Kuala Belait District Chinese Chamber of Commerce held its Jiawu Year Lunar New Year Gathering last night at its venue Wen Chun Fatt Hall, and also presented academic excellence awards to members’ children, attracting the participation of over a hundred members’ children.
At the Jiawu Year New Year Gathering Dinner of the Kuala Belait District Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Chamber President Lu Shun Nian delivered a speech sending New Year greetings to the guests and members present. He wished everyone good health, successful careers, and family happiness in the New Year. He also encouraged the children of chamber members to continue working hard in their studies and strive for even greater achievements academically. He hoped that all the students present would achieve academic success and reach new heights in their futures in the coming year.
During the dinner, there was also a ceremony to hand over educational funds to four Chinese schools in the Kuala Belait District. The beneficiary schools were Kuala Belait Chung Hwa Middle School, Seria Chung Cheng Middle School, Nawai Chung Hwa School, and Sungai Liang Chung Liang School.
The evening also featured a riddle guessing game and a grand lucky red envelope draw, creating a lively and joyful atmosphere at the event. Everyone gathered together to fully enjoy the festive celebrations, deepening friendships among members and allowing the younger generation to feel the care and encouragement from the Chamber of Commerce.
