Local music fans’ long-awaited “surprise collaboration” has finally come true. The most popular Chinese jazz band, JSY 91, will join forces with social media sensation and highly distinctive Chinese ensemble RCJ (Rocking Chair Jam), known for their viral hit “Midu Folk Song”, to present the themed performance “Unforgettable Past Love.” When jazz arrangements meet Chinese traditional sounds, these seemingly different musical languages will engage in a smooth, memorable, and thoroughly enjoyable dialogue on the same night.
The show’s highlight is straightforward: the classic songs you know will return in a more sophisticated yet even more captivating way. The setlist encompasses pop favorites by Leslie Cheung, Teresa Teng, Faye Wong, and more—preserving their emotional signature and melodic familiarity while layering in JSY’s signature jazz re-arrangement.
