(Thailand, 14th) – On a Thai highway, a truck reportedly failed to secure its door properly, causing a large number of screws and nails to scatter across the road surface and leaving multiple vehicles stranded with flat tires.
Pattaya Mail reported that the incident took place yesterday (12th) afternoon on the section of Highway 7 heading towards Pattaya. This road connects Bangkok with Chonburi Province, Pattaya, and the eastern coastal area, and is one of Thailand’s busiest routes.
Photos and videos circulating online show screws and nuts strewn across several lanes, with many stranded vehicles with flat tires stopped on the shoulder. Some drivers await assistance, others attempt to change their tires, and some motorists stopped their cars to help clear the hazardous objects.

Preliminary investigations found that nearly 100 vehicles were affected, though Thai authorities have yet to confirm this figure.
According to Thairath, local traffic police temporarily closed the affected section to clear the screws, reopening the lanes after about an hour.
The Thai Highway Department is currently collecting CCTV footage and relevant information to track down the responsible vehicle and investigate legal liability.
