Chung Sheng Zhong and Chung Hsiao Yu Perform in Indonesia’s Singkawang, Attracting 30,000 Fans

Chung Sheng Zhong and his sister Chung Hsiao Yu had another bountiful year, making their first appearance at Indonesia's West Kalimantan Singkawang for the largest annual Chinese New Year Lantern Festival event. They were specially invited by the organizers to perform.

The siblings' charm is undeniable, successfully attracting 30,000 people to the outdoor stadium, which was filled to capacity and even barred additional people from entering. The atmosphere was joyous and festive, with fans singing and dancing along to the tunes of Chung Sheng Zhong and Chung Hsiao Yu. Many fans, who grew up listening to their New Year songs, were moved to tears upon finally seeing them in person. The enthusiasm from fans made them repeatedly say on stage, “Thank you for your love… We love you!”

They also learned a few phrases in the local Hakka dialect, saying “How are you? Have you eaten? I love you,” which earned continuous applause and cheers from the audience, resonating strongly with the local crowd.

Chung Sheng Zhong expressed his joy in bringing Malaysia's cultural New Year songs and his creations to Indonesian friends. This includes the song “Beautiful New Year,” which has surpassed 20 million views, and this year's latest song, composed by Chung Sheng Zhong with lyrics by Chen Wei Xi, titled “Here Comes the New Year.” They performed these with 24 dancers, delivering a spectacular show that reached new heights.
