(Brunei, 5 Jan) Brunei Hainan Association Chairman Han Jinguang expressed in his speech at the 2024 Member Meeting that today is January 5, 2025, marking the arrival of a new year, and I wish everyone a Happy New Year, all the best, and good health!
He stated that within the two years from 2023 to 2024, there are 12 new lifelong members, with 3 over the age of 41 and 9 under the age of 40.
The Chairman is very grateful for the support and encouragement of the fellow members and hopes more children join the Hainan Association family in the future.
Mentioning the association's activities, on October 5, 2024, the association celebrated the 20th Elderly Appreciation event with significant support from honorary advisors, member compatriots, and friends, which was generously sponsored and actively participated in, making the entire banquet a complete success, fully demonstrating the unity spirit of the compatriots. Thank you for the encouragement and support, and we hope the Elderly Appreciation event in another two years will be even more successful.
The Chairman stated that the Lunar New Year Gathering will be held on February 9, 2025 (the twelfth day of the lunar month), at the association hall for the Yi Si (Snake) Year New Year Gathering, from 10 AM to 1:30 PM, located on the third floor of the association's Chen Liangjun Auditorium. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Additionally, the Chairman took this opportunity to inform everyone that the 18th World Hainan Clansmen Meeting will be held from November 14 to 16, 2025, in Penang, Malaysia. The association will organize a delegation to participate and hopes everyone will attend. The association will notify further.

The 2024 Member Meeting was chaired by Huang Minghan (Advisor), Deputy Chairperson of the Presidium Kong Fanci (Honorary Advisor), Deputy Chairperson of the Presidium Huang Hongxian (Honorary Advisor), and Dr. Yang Juzhuang as the Meeting Secretary.
Before the annual member meeting began, the association awarded academic excellence scholarships to members’ children, with a total of 42 students receiving them.
