GuuGuu Shares Married Life and Spoiling His Wife, Sweetly Says 'My Wife Is My Creative Inspiration'

Taiwanese singer-songwriter Lu Siwei (GuuGuu) recently came to Malaysia. Besides being a guest at his good friend Hsiao Bing Chih’s ‘Alive’ 2026 tour in Kuala Lumpur, he also arrived two days early for local promotion of his long-awaited new solo album ‘Vitamin G’, the first in three years. He continued his Taipei summer coffee project by handcrafting special energy-boosting coffee drinks for Malaysian media. When talking about the inspiration behind his new album, he did not hide his sweet smile: “My wife is my creative inspiration!” He also generously shared his everyday married life of doting on his wife, and his happiness was plain to see.

After a 12-year long-distance relationship with Da Yuan (Lin Ai Xuan), GuuGuu tied the knot in February last year, and their feelings remain sweet as ever after marriage. When asked if they are actively trying for a baby, he candidly said everything will respect his wife’s wishes: “No matter what stage of life she wants to go through, I will be by her side.”

GuuGuu revealed that almost every track in his new album contains traces of his wife. “I need someone to talk to when I write songs. After finishing each song, I would first let her listen, and she’d give me lots of feedback and ideas.” He hopes fans can also feel the sense of happiness and love when listening to his songs. In addition to his wife, their adopted furry pet is also a source of happiness for him. GuuGuu laughed that whenever he is tired or stressed from work, he just grabs his phone and looks at his wife's photos. As he spoke, he even showed off his phone wallpaper, dazzling the media present. He also revealed that even though his wife is often busy shooting all night, she still manages the household meticulously, which touches him deeply.

During his time in Malaysia for promotion, GuuGuu met a number of local singers and content creators. Speaking of which Malaysian musicians he would most like to collaborate with, he laughed that he’s not one to take the initiative, but is great at working together: “Everyone is welcome to collaborate with me, I’m like a Transformer—very flexible! I’m willing to try different styles and genres.”

He also shared that he’s always been following Malaysian music, especially Firdhaus and the boy group 3P, saying he particularly appreciates the singing, dancing, and stage presence 3P demonstrated when they promoted in Taipei. “They have many members and the live atmosphere is great. Just imagining working together on a dance track sounds like so much fun!”

As for upcoming plans, GuuGuu invited fans to come to Taipei on July 18th to attend his free new album concert for ‘Vitamin G’. He also hopes that through this album, he can keep building positive energy, and looks forward to the chance to return to Malaysia next year for a solo concert with fans.
