According to Xinhua News Agency, the 2026 Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference will take place from the 24th to the 27th in Boao, Hainan. This year's theme is "Shaping a Common Future: New Realities, New Opportunities, New Cooperation." There will be four core topics, and nearly 50 sub-forums, roundtable meetings, dialogue sessions, and a series of related activities are expected to be held.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Boao Forum for Asia, as well as the first forum after the launch of the Hainan Free Trade Port. According to information previously released by the forum, this year's conference will also be attended by national leaders such as Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and Azerbaijani National Assembly Chairperson Sahiba Gafarova.
In addition, according to Greater Bay Area Voice, Hong Kong SAR Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu will travel to Hainan on the 24th to attend the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference. John Lee will attend the opening session of the annual conference and is expected to speak at the "Global Free Trade Port Development Forum."
