Former TVB actress Michelle Ye, known for her strong image, has always been calm and collected in the face of any negative news while developing her career in Hong Kong. She truly embodies the invincible woman. However, when it comes to her father suffering from cancer, she emotionally breaks down, stating that her father is her "weak spot" and she is willing to give up everything to have him healthy again.
Last year, Michelle suddenly received a call from her father who had been experiencing abdominal pain for over 40 days. He was initially diagnosed with gastritis at a small hospital in China, but Michelle sensed something was seriously wrong. She urgently took her father to a more reliable hospital for a thorough check-up, which confirmed a cancer diagnosis. She paused all her work and quietly accompanied her father back to Hong Kong for treatment: "The hospital is on a hilltop, so I rented a place nearby and visited him twice a day, feeding him, checking his temperature, and helping with personal care. I did everything personally."
During this period, Michelle ran out of "a lifetime's worth of tears," and her father's condition directly impacted her own health: "I couldn't sleep, staying up at night researching new medications and treatments, almost becoming an amateur expert in the field. I got more grey hair and developed endocrine issues. Recently, I returned to China to rest and have regained my mental health!" Thankfully, during this tough time, her non-celebrity boyfriend was constantly there to support her, providing much-needed comfort: "He even helped take care of my father. I am grateful for his understanding and tolerance. (There are rumors you got married?) No, we're not married, but we live as though we are. Having a partner is what truly matters!"
