(Kuching, 24th) The cabinet will submit a document to enable the implementation of projects in Sarawak to adapt to the different needs of the state and the Malaysian Peninsula.
Our country's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy and Water Transformation Dato' Sri Fadillah Yusof emphasized that cabinet policy guidance must be obtained to ensure the effectiveness of project implementation in Sarawak, especially in remote areas.
He stated that the model proposed by Sarawak could also be adopted by Sabah, particularly in rural areas.
"For example, the remote area school construction project proposed by the Ministry of Education faces various challenges, including funding, lack of contractors, logistical issues, human resources, and building materials. The result is that projects cannot be implemented, are delayed, or are canceled."
He made the above remarks after presiding over the first meeting of the state development action committee today.
Fadillah added that the cabinet needs clear instructions to solve these issues and ensure the smooth implementation of the state's projects.
