(Bandar Seri Begawan, 6th) Brunei is once again honored to host the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) in 2024 for the second time since it was first held in 2012, after a 12-year interval.
The 2024 Asia Pacific ICT Alliance is co-organized by the Ministry of Transport and Info-communications, the Brunei Darussalam ICT Industry Management Authority, and the Brunei ICT Association. This event gathers more than 500 delegations from member countries, including members of the Alliance's Executive Committee, judges from the Asia-Pacific region, participants, and industry representatives.
The event is held at a banquet hall in a hotel in Gadong, with the guest of honor being the Minister of Transport and Info-communications, Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary.
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transport and Info-communications and the first co-chair of the 2024 Asia Pacific ICT Alliance Awards Organizing Committee, Ir. Awang Haji Mohammad Nazri, stated at the welcome banquet that Brunei has always been a staunch supporter of technological advancement. Today, we gather to celebrate incredible innovations and achievements in the ICT field in the Asia-Pacific region and are proud to be a platform for cooperation, learning, and idea exchange.
He stated that the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance Awards have become a symbol of excellence, recognizing the creativity, passion, and hard work of ICT professionals, entrepreneurs, and organizations in the region. It proves the extraordinary progress made by innovators from startup enterprises to established firms and visionary developers in the ICT field, aimed at forward-thinking policymakers.
He stated that the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance Awards have become a symbol of excellence, recognizing the creativity, passion, and hard work of ICT professionals, entrepreneurs, and organizations in the region. He further stated that through this Alliance, we can collectively create an environment that fosters collaboration and pushes technological boundaries to benefit our society.
The 2024 Asia Pacific ICT Alliance Awards plan a series of activities, including business networking and student networking, providing opportunities for stakeholders, particularly those involved in technology and innovation, to connect, collaborate, and exchange ideas.
Along with the 2024 Asia Pacific ICT Alliance Awards, a Brunei Digital Exhibition is held, highlighting Brunei's innovative advancements and commitment to digital transformation.
