Preparing for Future Challenges, Lee Kim Shin: Students Need to Strengthen English Skills

(Miri, 30th) Sarawak Transport Minister Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin emphasized that in today's globalized and rapidly changing world, acquiring knowledge and skills is crucial, especially in enhancing technology, information technology, and language abilities. He encourages students to not only master Malay but also strengthen their English skills to be fully prepared for future challenges.

He made the remarks today while officiating and presenting awards at the 13th Form Five Graduation Ceremony of SMK Pujut.

In his speech, Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin warmly congratulated the graduates and thanked the teachers for their hard work in the students' growth and academic progress. He pointed out that the graduation ceremony is not only an important milestone in the students' high school phase but also a new starting point for their future journey of pursuing excellence.

"The journey of life has just begun. Graduation is not the end, but the starting point of a new journey. I hope the students seize every opportunity to learn and grow, supporting themselves with knowledge and faith to face future challenges and contribute to social development," he said.

Lee Kim Shin also specifically called on parents to continue supporting school education and work together with the school to create a better growth environment for students. He believes that through collective efforts, schools will be able to nurture more outstanding talents for society.

He added that ceremonies like graduations are an important way to motivate students, helping them set higher goals and lay a foundation for future development.

In the end, with parents, teachers, and students witnessing together, the graduates received their diplomas, marking a successful conclusion to their high school careers and at the same time opening a new journey towards the future.
