(Puchong, 27th) Due to Puchong Member of Parliament Yeo Bee Yin not complying with the request of the Puchong UMNO Division to retract within the stipulated 24 hours her post 'congratulating the rejection of former Prime Minister Najib's application for home detention' and to apologize, Puchong UMNO announced that effective immediately, it is severing all relations with Puchong Pakatan Harapan (PH).

In a statement issued on Friday (27th), Puchong UMNO division secretary Mohamad Yusof announced that, effective immediately, the Puchong UMNO Division is terminating all political collaboration with Puchong PH—whether at the Puchong parliamentary constituency level or at the Seri Serdang and Seri Kembangan state constituencies, there will no longer be any political cooperation.

He said that, as the apology deadline had expired at 4pm on December 24, 2025, without any response being received, the division had therefore decided to terminate all political cooperation.

He continued, stating that the above decision is limited to the Puchong parliamentary seat, Seri Serdang state seat, and Seri Kembangan state seat, and does not automatically include the state or central leadership levels.

He also emphasized that the above decision does not mean UMNO is withdrawing from the unity government; this is only a regional political stance.

“The above decision is the firm stance of the Puchong UMNO Division in protest towards Puchong Pakatan Harapan, to defend principles and the dignity of the party, and does not affect cooperation at the central level, unless instructed otherwise by the UMNO or Barisan Nasional central leadership.”

After former Prime Minister Dato' Seri Najib's application for home detention was rejected by the High Court on Monday, Yeo Bee Yin posted a 'celebratory' comment on Facebook, drawing criticism and condemnation from UMNO leaders.

When sharing a news link entitled “Najib Denied Home Detention” on Facebook, Yeo wrote in her post: “Another year-end reason to celebrate.”

This move led members of the Selangor UMNO Youth to stage a protest at her Puchong service center, demanding that Yeo Bee Yin publicly apologize for the 'congratulatory' post and take it down within 24 hours.
