(Miri, 14th) Recently, many areas in Sarawak have been affected by heavy rains, causing severe floods that have damaged numerous homes and left many families in difficult situations. In the face of this sudden disaster, Miri Gospel Chapel, upholding the Christian spirit of love, not only cares for the affected church members but also hopes to extend a helping hand to assist the wider community in overcoming difficulties together.
For this reason, Miri Gospel Chapel has announced a donation of RM50,000 to the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee to support disaster relief efforts and help the affected residents rebuild their homes and restore normal life as soon as possible. This donation will be used to provide emergency supplies, accommodate disaster victims, and support post-disaster recovery work.
"We are deeply aware of the pain and challenges this flood has brought to many families, so we hope that through this donation, we can provide practical help to those affected, and also inspire more people from various sectors of the community to extend a helping hand," said Elder Gorden Chew, Chairman of Miri Gospel Chapel.
In addition to material support, Miri Gospel Chapel continues to pray for all the affected families, wishing them to overcome the adversity and rebuild their homes soon.
