American electric vehicle giant Tesla says it plans to further roll out intelligent assisted driving in China within this year, and is currently awaiting regulatory approval.
According to CLS News, Tesla made an appearance at the 2025 World Artificial Intelligence (AI) Conference held from Saturday (July 26) to Monday (28), showcasing the latest technological achievements in intelligent electric vehicles and intelligent assisted driving.
Tesla plans to further roll out its intelligent assisted driving system (with driver supervision) in China and Europe in 2025, and is currently awaiting review by regulatory authorities.
The company also expects to make the driverless version of the intelligent assisted driving system available to individual users in certain parts of the United States before the end of this year.
On February 25 this year, Tesla announced in China an update to its Autopilot assisted driving feature, further optimizing navigation and signal recognition, although driver intervention is still required, meaning it has not yet reached the level of fully automated driving available in the US market.
At the event, Tesla also showcased via video its newly launched Robotaxi driverless taxi service, which debuted in Austin, USA in June this year. The company expects to launch the service in most global markets once regulatory approval is obtained.
