(Miri 26th) The Miri Maritime Enforcement Agency conducted an operation about 0.7 nautical miles in the waters of Miri yesterday and successively detained 2 passenger ships violating regulations.
Miri Maritime Enforcement Agency Director Mohd Khairol Anuar bin Saad stated that the agency discovered the passenger ships during patrols in the aforementioned waters at around 1 p.m. yesterday.
It is reported that there were 2 passengers and 4 crew members on the two ships, aged between 21 and 59. The agency subsequently brought the ships and crew back to the Miri Maritime Enforcement Agency detention center wharf for detention.
The agency will continue its commitment to enforce the law in Malaysian waters and will not compromise on any violations in our waters.
