Deputy Minister Datuk Sebastian Ting Inspects Street Light Installation Project

(Miri 12th) The Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Tourism, Sarawak, Datuk Sebastian Ting, applied for a Rural Transformation Project grant of RM100,000 to assist Kampung Sealine in installing 18 street lights, benefiting 62 families in the village.

This morning,Sebastian Ting visited Kampung Silae to inspect the progress of this street light installation project. He said the project started on January 6 this year and is expected to be completed on May 5 this year.

He stated that after receiving the village's request in 2023, he assisted in applying for the Rural Transformation Project grant and received approval for RM100,000 to cover the installation costs of the street lights.

Sebastian Ting pointed out that the villagers of Kampung Sealine already enjoy water supply and electricity, and they are now about to have complete street lighting facilities, improving the living environment and road safety.

He said he would next assist the village in seeking the construction of a multi-purpose hall, allowing villagers to host community events.

Sebastian Ting emphasized that the government will continue to focus on local development and is committed to improving basic infrastructure to enhance the quality of life for the people.
