(Seria, 14th) Seria Chung Cheng Secondary School recently announced the results for the 2025 Brunei-Cambridge G.C.E. “O” Level Examination. Of the 55 candidates, 13 students achieved excellent results with 5As or above; among them, 3 students obtained 8As, 2 students achieved 7As, and 8 students attained 6As. Overall, the performance was outstanding and the results are encouraging.
In terms of subject performance, English, Additional Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry all achieved a 100% pass rate. Notably, Additional Mathematics, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry also achieved a 100% distinction rate, which is particularly remarkable. The distinction rates for Further Mathematics, Computer Science, English, Chinese (IGCSE Mandarin [Foreign Language] 0547) and Combined Science were 92.1%, 90%, 78.2%, 77%, and 65% respectively.
It is especially worth mentioning that Biology stood out the most, with 76% of students achieving an A*. In addition, the distinction rates for Further Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry also surpassed half, at 68.4%, 65.4%, and 64% respectively, demonstrating that students have a solid foundation in the sciences.
The school also announced the list of 13 outstanding students who obtained 5As or above in the 2025 Cambridge G.C.E. “O” Level Examination for recognition.
Among them, the 8A recipients are: Zhou Xiaobao (6A* 2A), Yang Shimin (6A* 2A), Mai Yixin (1A* 7A);
7A recipients: Han Lexuan (4A* 3A), Chen Rongjie (2A* 5A);
6A recipients include: Abi (1A* 5A), Zou Wenkang (3A* 3A), Yang Qiansen (3A* 3A), Shen Lihong (4A* 2A), Wang Qingxuan (1A* 5A), Huang Yucheng (2A* 4A), Jiang Ziyi (2A* 4A), and Ailiya (4A* 2A).
