(Israel, 1st) According to international media reports, a senior Israeli official claimed on the evening of the 28th that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali had been killed; Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin stated that increasing evidence suggests Khamenei is "no longer around."
The Iranian side denied this claim, stating that Khamenei is still directing resistance against the United States and Israel.
US President Trump subsequently stated in an interview, “We believe that is an accurate report" and said he trusts that Khamenei is dead, but will not make a final confirmation until more information is available.
Trump also posted on his social platform Truth Social saying that Khamenei is dead, and indicated that military operations will continue until peace goals are achieved in the Middle East and globally.
