Private Jet of the Same Model as Thaksin’s Special Plane Flies from Dubai to Singapore

(Singapore, 8th) According to media reports, a Bombardier Global 7500 private jet, the same model used by former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, arrived in Singapore from Dubai on Monday morning.
The report pointed out that this Bombardier Global 7500 jet took off from Dubai Al Maktoum International Airport at 8:45 p.m. local time on Sunday and landed in Singapore at 6:50 a.m. on Monday.
Early Friday morning last week, Thaksin posted on social media that he had left Thailand for Singapore on Thursday night for a health checkup, but due to delays with immigration procedures in Bangkok, he was unable to reach Singapore’s Seletar Private Airport before it closed, so he diverted to Dubai instead. Thaksin promised he would return to Thailand on Monday and attend the Supreme Court on Tuesday to hear the verdict regarding his prolonged hospitalization case.
The Criminal Division for Holders of Political Positions of the Thai Supreme Court has ordered Thaksin to appear in person to hear the ruling on his long-term stay in the Police General Hospital from mid-2023 to early 2024, instead of serving his sentence in prison.
Now 76, Thaksin returned to Thailand on August 22, 2023, after more than 15 years in self-imposed exile.
Upon his return, he was immediately sentenced to eight years in prison for three cases, later commuted by royal pardon to one year, on charges related to abuse of power and conflicts of interest during his time as prime minister before 2006.
On the day Thaksin arrived back in Thailand, he was sent to the Bangkok Remand Prison, but only 13 hours later was transferred to the Police General Hospital, where he remained hospitalized until early 2024, when he was granted parole—sparking public suspicion of whether he received special treatment.
