(Kuala Belait, 17th) The Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) has reported multiple incidents of property damage at various locations around Kuala Belait, including the Pandan 4 area, Jalan Bunga Simpur, Jalan Pretty, Jalan Bunga Raya, Jalan Bunga Tanjung, and Jalan Bunga Rambai.
The Kuala Belait Police Station has received a total of 10 reports.
After preliminary investigation and police action, a 55-year-old local man has been successfully detained for further investigation. The suspect is also allegedly involved in an assault case. Currently, the suspect is receiving treatment at the Mental Health Department of Suri Seri Begawan Hospital.
Meanwhile, the Royal Brunei Police Force urges anyone who discovers property damage or is involved in incidents related to the suspect to immediately report to the Kuala Belait Police Station to assist with the investigation.
The Public Asset and Property Management Department (PPDB) also advises the public to always be mindful of their personal and property safety. The public is encouraged to install closed-circuit television surveillance cameras in residential and commercial areas as a safety precaution, and to assist the police in investigations should any untoward incidents occur.
