(Bandar Seri Begawan, 14th) Recently, KOSI (B) Sdn Bhd has generously donated multiple Automated External Defibrillators (AED) to Chung Hwa Middle School in Brunei and carefully provided professional first aid training for the staff. This charitable act is of significant importance to safeguarding lives on campus.
At 9 a.m. on November 8th this year, KOSI dispatched two technical personnel to Chung Hwa Middle School to provide professional training for the school's staff. The event was attended by Deputy Supervisor on the Board Liao Tianshun, Principal Xu Yuelan, Vice Principal Du Xiuying, Assistant Principal Zheng Xiuying, as well as 20 staff members.
On the day, Board Member Liao Tianshun delivered a brief speech, expressing gratitude on behalf of the school to KOSI for its generous donation of multiple AED devices and for providing professional training for the school staff.

Liao Tianshun praised KOSI's benevolent action, stating it not only adds crucial security to school safety but also demonstrates a profound commitment to corporate social responsibility. These devices will greatly enhance the school's ability to respond to sudden cardiac events, building a solid line of defense for the health and safety of teachers, students, parents, and staff.
At the same time, the emergency training organized by KOSI enabled school staff to master valuable first aid skills, further strengthening the campus's overall safety awareness and emergency response capabilities.

He remarked that, this care and support has gone beyond material assistance and delivered important values of protecting lives and caring for the community. Chung Hwa Middle School is committed to the proper maintenance and use of these devices and will continue to strengthen campus safety management, responding to KOSI's trust and goodwill with concrete actions.
It is understood that an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is a portable medical device specifically designed for on-site first aid. When a patient experiences cardiac arrest, it can automatically analyze specific heart rhythms (such as ventricular fibrillation or pulseless ventricular tachycardia), and, when deemed necessary, deliver a defibrillation shock to help restore the heart's normal rhythm.
Its core functions include automatic detection and analysis of heart rhythm, automatic or semi-automatic defibrillation, and providing clear voice prompts and graphics to guide the operator through each step of the first aid process. AEDs are primarily used for the emergency rescue of cardiac arrest, and especially when used within the "golden four minutes" after onset, can significantly improve patient survival rates.
Nowadays, AEDs are widely installed in airports, shopping malls, schools, sports venues, and various types of medical institutions, ensuring they can be quickly accessed in emergency situations.
