(Bandar Seri Begawan, 21st)—Wu Caili, Chairperson of the Brunei Young Entrepreneurs Association (YEAB), Secretary Nadiatul Safiruddin, as well as official members James Wu and Louis Luki Lee, attended the 10th ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs Carnival held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
This milestone event marks a decade of impactful contributions to fostering ASEAN youth entrepreneurship, jointly organized by the Malaysia Young Entrepreneurs Association (MAYA), the ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs Council (AYEC), and the Malaysian Youth Council (MBM).
Under the theme "Connecting ASEAN, Creating Global Change," the carnival successfully brought together more than 100 young entrepreneurs from ASEAN, China, Japan, and other international partners.
The participation of the Brunei Young Entrepreneurs Association highlighted its active role within the ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs Council (AYEC). AYEC is dedicated to promoting cross-border collaboration and opening up new growth opportunities for young enterprises in the region. This event provided an important platform for the Brunei delegates to strengthen existing partnerships, explore new markets, and align Brunei's entrepreneurial goals with the broader economic integration objectives of ASEAN.
The high-level exchange began with an official opening ceremony hosted by Malaysia's Minister of International Trade and Industry, Dato' Sri Tengku Abdul Aziz.
The core objective of this carnival was to showcase the collective achievements of the AYEC community and future development directions. During the gala dinner, the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports and Chairperson of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council, Tan Sri Nasrulhuda, delivered a speech celebrating the spirit of cooperation.
While celebrating the achievements of the Brunei Young Entrepreneurs Association, its Chairperson Wu Caili was recognized for her contributions to the region's entrepreneurial landscape, being named one of the "Top 10 ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs." This honor reflects the strong momentum and regional potential demonstrated by Brunei businesses.
