Hong Kong film kings “Fat Gor” Chow Yun-fat and Eric Tsang were both superstar icons of the 1980s cinema scene. Both have won numerous awards for their work in film, having collaborated on many movies such as “The Romancing Star” and “The Fun, the Luck & the Tycoon.” Yet in recent years, they are rarely seen together. Recently, Eric Tsang hosted a dinner for friends, and Hong Kong’s food show host, Lin Chengguang—known as the ‘Young God of Food’—shared a group photo that surprisingly included Chow Yun-fat, sparking a wave of collective nostalgia.
Lin Chengguang recently shared a photo on Instagram with Eric Tsang and Chow Yun-fat—marking a rare moment with the two best actor legends in one frame. Judging from the photo, the dinner had a lively atmosphere, with everyone smiling broadly. As always, Chow Yun-fat demonstrated his “selfie” prowess, standing warmly at the front to take the big group shot. In another photo, he and Eric Tsang are nearly head-to-head, both grinning widely, showing just how happy and enjoyable this reunion was.
According to Hong Kong media reports, Chow Yun-fat and Eric Tsang had actually attended the same event earlier this year—the 40th anniversary of Hong Kong Talent Entertainment Group and the 20th anniversary of Top Entertainment. During the banquet, Chow Yun-fat gave a speech on stage, while Eric Tsang was also among the guests. However, at that time no photo of the two together emerged.
