Bodies of victims from the Nepal flood disaster drifted down the river, and shockingly, two men were seen pulling at the body of a woman and stealing her gold earrings. Related video footage has sparked public outrage, and the two men have been arrested by police.
According to the international channel of India's New Delhi Television, police confirmed that the two suspects are men aged 25 and 38, and they were apprehended near a bus station on the 27th.
A 41-second video has been widely circulated online, showing the two men squatting by the riverbank. One man uses a long stick to hold the floating corpse in place, while the other removes the gold earrings from the body. Several people can also be seen gathered at the scene, recording videos.
The Nepal police later shared the video, stating that the two men have been detained on suspicion of stealing earrings from the victim's ears.
