(Kuala Lumpur, 24th) Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) stated that temporary failures in passenger processing systems used by multiple airlines worldwide have affected check-in and boarding procedures at airports in Malaysia.
Malaysia Airports published an announcement on its official social media saying that this interruption could impact passengers’ check-in procedures, and therefore airlines operating at its airports have launched emergency protocols.
“We are closely monitoring the situation at airports nationwide. The safety and comfort of our passengers are always our top priority.”
The announcement mentioned that self-service kiosks remain operational, and passengers can print boarding passes and luggage tags.
“Passengers are urged to follow the instructions of airlines and airport staff within the terminal, check directly with airlines for the latest flight schedules, and use online check-in services where possible.”
