Gu Feng Passes Away at the Age of 94, Twice Won Golden Horse Best Supporting Actor

Veteran actor Gu Feng passed away earlier at the age of 94. The news was announced by former Shaw Brothers martial arts star Wei Ziyun on social media. It is reported that Gu Feng passed away at his residence on the 27th of last month, but the cause of death has not yet been disclosed.

Gu Feng joined Shaw Brothers in the 1960s, with notable works including "The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber" and "The New One-Armed Swordsman." He also appeared in many Hong Kong-produced films, among which his role as the father of "Chang Wei" in the movie "Hail the Judge" with Stephen Chow left a deep impression on audiences. Gu Feng won the Best Supporting Actor award at the Taiwan Golden Horse Awards twice for "Wu Song" and "The Girl in the Waiting Period."

In the 1990s, Gu Feng also participated in numerous TV series, including "The Duke of Mount Deer" and "At the Threshold of an Era." He filmed "Forensic Heroes II" in 2008 and then stopped participating in TVB dramas, gradually withdrawing from the entertainment industry.
