Taiwanese variety show king Jacky Wu (Uncle Wu) recently wrapped up his concert in grand style, but rumors surfaced that his daughter was selling her luxury house to help her father raise cash for business operations. On the 31st, Mirror Weekly reported that Wu's second daughter, Vivian Wu Zehan, was urgently selling her standalone villa in Neihu, Taipei, at a price below market value, supposedly to provide her father with liquidity for his business ventures. In response, Jacky Wu personally addressed the rumors.
In recent years, Wu has focused on developing side businesses and occasionally faced rumors of failed investments. Regarding his daughter cashing out by selling her house to help him with liquidity, Wu told Mirror Weekly that his daughter and son-in-law did recently sell their house, but it was because of their two adorable children. "They originally removed the elevator, but now they really need an elevator," he explained. Wu also clarified that the couple did not sell at a loss, but actually made a small profit of several million NT dollars. "Are Taiwanese celebrities really that miserable these days? If even I need cash... wouldn’t everyone be in trouble, hahaha," he laughed off the rumors.
