Di Ying Breaks Down and Wanders by the Sea, Sun Peng Appears Gaunt and Speaks His Heart

Taiwanese stars Sun Peng and Di Ying’s 26-year-old only son, Sun Anzuo, recently attracted attention for boldly testing a homemade flamethrower and posting videos of it. His residence was subsequently searched, and modified flamethrower devices, a modified shotgun, and imitation guns were seized. On the 17th, a judge determined he was suspected of committing five major offenses including firearms and attempted arson, and due to concerns of collusion or destruction of evidence, quickly ruled ‘detention and incommunicado’ for two months. In the past, Di Ying was always seen on livestreams vigorously defending her son’s innocence and weeping, but now faced with the harsh reality of her son actually being detained, her emotions completely broke down. After 5 p.m. on the 18th, shocking news emerged that Di Ying, feeling down, was out of contact; her family, unable to reach her and worried something might have happened, quickly reported it to the police. Reportedly, Di Ying took a taxi alone to the area near Shalun Beach in Tamsui to clear her mind. Fortunately, a caring citizen reported seeing a woman matching her description by the seaside. Upon receiving the report, police quickly acted and found a haggard-looking Di Ying sitting alone by the shore. After confirming her identity and ensuring she was not in danger, police brought her back to the station to comfort her and notified her family. Currently, Di Ying has been taken by her family to a friend’s house for rest. Sun Peng shouldered the burden of the family’s misfortune, and though visibly weary, he spoke calmly when he stepped out of the house for an interview. Asked about Di Ying’s disappearance and going to the seaside, Sun Peng said: “Thank you for your concern, it was very calm; friends have already picked her up and taken her to rest at home.”

Speaking about the social incident caused by their son, Sun Peng emphasized that they would face it calmly and cooperate with the investigation. But when asked if he knew about Sun Anzuo making flamethrowers, he showed helplessness, revealing: “Last time there was already an investigation, and I told his agent not to post such sensational videos, we had warned him a long time ago. I was also very surprised to see the video—hadn’t expected he’d still go and make that kind of video.” His tone was full of frustration toward his son’s inability to live up to expectations. #
