Colonel Li Xi, spokesperson for the Eastern Theater Command of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), stated that at 9 a.m. on the 30th, army units of the Eastern Theater Command organized live-fire long-range attacks in relevant waters north of the Taiwan Island, achieving the expected results.
On the 29th, the PLA announced without warning a new round of military drills encircling Taiwan, and on the 30th from 8:00 to 18:00, carried out important military maneuvers and organized live-fire shooting in the sea and airspace surrounding Taiwan.
According to the latest notice from the PLA Eastern Theater Command, the exercise item on the 30th is "Hammer of Justice: Port Blockade and Line Severance." In addition to live-fire shooting in five sea and air zones around Taiwan, the goal is to block Taiwan's incoming and outgoing sea and air ports, as well as supply lines, with the intention of creating the impression of a complete blockade of Taiwan.
On the same day, the PLA Eastern Theater Command released a second themed poster for the military exercise, titled "Hammer of Justice: Port Blockade and Line Severance." The main text reads: "A heavy blow is delivered, truly blocking and sealing, hammering the head and cutting the tail; if you do not return hand in hand, a heavy strike shall follow—regret it not."
Starting on the 29th, the PLA Eastern Theater Command organized army, navy, air force, rocket force and other troops to conduct a joint exercise code-named 'Joint Justice Mission-2025' in areas including the Taiwan Strait, the north of Taiwan, the southwest of Taiwan, the southeast of Taiwan, and east of Taiwan.
