Main Reason for Nicole Kidman’s Divorce Exposed: Nude Sex Scenes Infuriate Husband

58-year-old Australian Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman and 57-year-old American country music star Keith Urban have ended their 19-year marriage. According to court documents obtained by the Daily Mail, the couple’s vast wealth and detailed custody agreement have been revealed, leaving many astonished.

In recent years, Nicole and Keith’s marriage gradually became estranged due to their busy filming and touring schedules. Insiders revealed that Nicole was “caught off guard” by the breakup, but officially filed for divorce on September 30, citing “irreconcilable differences.” Reports indicate that Keith has allegedly begun a new romance with a young woman in the music industry.

It is rumored that the key reason Keith was determined to leave Nicole is her recent filming of bold and explicit movies and TV shows; her nude sex scenes made Keith feel very uncomfortable. Every time he was asked about Nicole’s increasingly daring roles, Keith would show displeasure and refuse to answer. Furthermore, both struggled to balance family and career, making things even tougher. In the past 19 years, Nicole has filmed 41 movies, one short film, and 11 TV shows, while Keith was often away from home because of touring. The time they spent together was extremely limited.

According to court documents, both earn around US$100,000 per month (about RM420,000), and this amount is included in the calculation of child support. Nicole currently has an estimated net worth of US$250 million (about RM1.05 billion), while Keith’s is about US$75 million (about RM310 million). Nicole has also been rated as the 8th highest-earning actress in the world in 2024, with an income of US$31 million (about RM130 million) last year.

Regarding custody arrangements, the two have reached a rather rare agreement: Nicole will have primary custody for 306 days of the year, and Keith will have 59 days of visitation. He is allowed to spend alternate weekends with their daughter, from 10am Saturday to 6pm Sunday. In addition, they have agreed to divide specific holidays: Nicole will spend Mother’s Day and Easter with their daughter, while Keith will have her on Father’s Day and Thanksgiving. Both will continue to jointly decide on their daughter’s education and extracurricular activities, and within 60 days must participate in a “mandatory parenting seminar.”
