The 26th Xuyi Crayfish Festival in Xuyi County, Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province, China, kicked off with a lively crayfish feast, attracting visitors from many places to check in and savor the delicacy. This year's crayfish feast lasts for 3 days, with about 40,000 tickets sold so far. It is expected that around 120 tons of crayfish will be sold in these 3 days, which will effectively boost the entire consumption chain for local dining, accommodation, shopping, and more.

Data shows that in 2025, the gross output value of Xuyi's entire crayfish industry chain will reach 40.8 billion yuan (about 24.5 billion ringgit). Nearly one-sixth of the county's population is engaged in crayfish-related industries, and crayfish income accounts for 32.5% of local farmers' average disposable income.
