Fans Block Cars, High-Speed Rail Station Turns into Animal Migration Chaos—Zhang Linghe Can't Take It and Threatens to Sue

28-year-old Chinese actor Zhang Linghe has soared in popularity due to his leading role in “Chasing Jade” and is swarmed by crowds of fans wherever he goes, sparking a frenzy of extreme star-chasing incidents. Some women even pressed up against and blocked his van, requiring three strong men to drag them away. When Zhang Linghe appeared at the high-speed rail station, there was a scene reminiscent of the great African animal migration: a massive crowd eager to get footage of him, pushing and running whether on escalators or stairs, with the scene filled with screaming and yelling. Some people could even be seen falling down. In response, Zhang Linghe’s studio issued a stern condemnation of obsessive “sasaeng” fans and professional photo-hawkers for endangering public safety, and reserved the right to pursue legal action. Zhang Linghe himself added: “Please abide by public order and place your true support in a safe space. I truly do not wish to meet everyone in such manners in non-public settings.”

Zhang Linghe has long suffered from the troubles caused by sasaeng fans. Last year, an event had to be canceled due to crowds blocking him at Changsha high-speed rail station, and now the chaos has grown even worse. On the evening of the 5th, the studio issued a statement of protest, noting that in recent days, Zhang Linghe encountered severe disturbances at the high-speed rail station from some sasaeng fans and professional photo-hawkers. These individuals ignored public safety, blocked Zhang Linghe’s way for close-up pictures, and maliciously obstructed traffic, seriously affecting order and the safety of other travelers.

The studio firmly opposes any form of obsessive or professional photo-hawking behavior, calling on fans and the public to chase stars rationally, respect the personal space and privacy of artists, and shift their attention back to the performer’s work. No form of admiration should come at the expense of public safety or the rights and interests of others. The studio also warned obsessive and photo-hawking individuals to stop all blocking, tailing, and dissemination of non-public itinerary images or videos, emphasizing that the company reserves the right to pursue all legal responsibilities for those involved.
