Head of State Reminds the Public to Be Wary of Online Scams and False Information

His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, the Head of State, reminded the public to be cautious so as not to fall victim to online crimes such as internet scams and identity theft.

His Majesty also expressed concern over issues arising from instigation and defamation on the internet and social media, which confuse people, cause opposition and division among them.

“Therefore, the government must take severe action against this situation and actively disseminate correct and reliable information to the public.”

His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim called on all parties to cooperate in ensuring the success of the Malaysia Tourism Year 2026, especially by ensuring the country is clean and safe.

“If our country is dirty and has a high crime rate, no tourists will be willing to come.”

His Majesty said the tourism year can showcase the uniqueness of our social culture and values, while also bringing economic opportunities and enhancing our country's image internationally.

In addition, His Majesty also urged the government to continue assisting small-scale planters, farmers, livestock farmers, and fishermen, and to take actions to strengthen the agriculture, primary products, and food supply chain sectors.

His Majesty also urged the government to continue implementing agendas to enhance indigenous economic status through cooperation and support of government-linked companies.

“The government also needs to continue striving to provide everyone with the opportunity to own affordable housing and should continue to improve infrastructure, health facilities, and educational conditions.”

His Majesty said that the educational reform agenda, technical and vocational training, and measures taken for youth development by the government will nurture a higher-quality future generation.

His Majesty also stated that efforts to strengthen family values and community welfare will continue to be supported.
