Juba Chinese Public School Welcomes New Academic Year: Principal Tang Suk Hung Urges Students to Study Hard and Maintain Discipline

(Miri, 17th) Juba Chinese Public School (SJK Chung Hua Krokop) officially started the new school year today. Principal Tang Suk Hung encouraged students at the opening ceremony to prepare themselves mentally and fully engage in their studies for the new academic year. She also reminded parents to adhere to traffic rules to avoid congestion around the school campus.

Principal Tang stated that this year, the school holiday schedule has been adjusted and the school will adapt to the new academic year arrangement in the future. She expressed special gratitude to the mayor for allocating funds to repair the roads and widen the drains around the campus, protecting the school from being affected by the worst flooding in Miri in a decade, ensuring a safe and stable learning environment for students.

She encouraged students to set learning goals, especially for sixth graders to ensure that their Malay language scores meet the standards for a smooth transition to secondary school. Additionally, during the orientation week, the school will host various activities to encourage students to actively participate in diverse events to enhance their overall qualities.

Principal Tang emphasized that students should not only strive in academics but also develop good behavior habits, maintain cleanliness in the campus and classrooms, and practice civility and respectfulness to create a quality learning environment together.
