Two people trapped in the building showed no signs of life, and five others were injured and sent to the hospital for treatment.
After the incident, local authorities organized emergency, fire, police, medical, and other departments to the scene for emergency rescue and handling work. The on-site rescue work has now ended, and the five injured individuals are in stable condition. An investigation into the cause of the incident and follow-up work is underway.
Online, netizens expressed that the accident occurred in the direction opposite to Xiamei towards Shijing Town in Xiadian Village, Shuitou Town. The loud explosion caused doors and windows of nearby houses to be blown away, flames erupted, and significant ground shaking was felt, affecting a range of about 1 kilometer.
