Teresa Teng, the eternal queen of Chinese pop music, passed away in Chiang Mai, Thailand, on May 8, 1995. It was reported that her death was caused by an asthma attack that led to respiratory failure, ultimately missing the chance for timely rescue. She was 42 years old. Although it has been 31 years since Teresa Teng's passing, she is still missed by many. Recently, her Thai housekeeper Billy made a rare public statement about her final moments, and the details surrounding her passing have once again become a topic of discussion.

Chinese internet celebrity “Chiang Mai Little Sheep” recently visited Teresa Teng’s Memorial Hall in Chiang Mai, Thailand, and interviewed Billy, Teresa Teng’s Thai housekeeper. When asked about the actual situation on the day of her passing, Billy revealed that he had brought breakfast to Teresa Teng early in the morning. At that time, there were no signs of anything unusual, so he waited outside her room on the 15th floor for further instructions. By 3:30 p.m., Teresa Teng’s French boyfriend Paul went out to buy fruit, leaving Teresa Teng alone in the room exercising.

Unexpectedly, at 4:15 p.m., Billy suddenly noticed that Teresa Teng was feeling unwell. He immediately sought help from the hotel manager and then took Teresa Teng to the hospital. Unfortunately, they encountered a traffic jam on the way, which caused them to miss the critical window for treatment. Upon arriving at the hospital, resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful.

Billy further explained that the situation at the time was extremely urgent. Teresa Teng's hands and feet had already cramped and gone numb, and there was no time to get her medication for emergency treatment. Afterwards, during a police investigation of the room, it was learned that Teresa Teng had taken a shower after running. “I didn't know she took a shower. For a long time, I was unaware. If she felt unwell she would have come out (of the room), because I couldn't go in,” he said. The whole incident made him very upset.
