(Seria, 12th) The Brunei Chung Cheng Hakka Association Federation has issued a notice that, as the 2023-2025 term of the managing committee is coming to an end, elections will be held for the new 2026-2029 committee in accordance with the association's constitution.
The association will issue ballots and a membership list this Saturday, urging members to carefully cast their valuable vote according to the following election procedures.
The detailed rules for electing the 2026-2029 committee are as follows:
1. From the membership list, select 17 people; those with the highest number of votes will form the preliminary elected committee, and a further selection will be held on another date;
2. Place a tick in the small box next to the names on the membership list;
3. Ballots with more than 17 boxes ticked will be deemed invalid;
4. Ballots must be filled out with a ballpoint pen and must be signed to be valid;
5. After completing the ballot, please place it into the ballot box at one of the following locations set by the association before noon on Saturday, November 29, 2025: Kuala Belait First Chicken Rice, Seria Hie Seng Company, Nawi, Sungai Liang Ho Heong Poh House, and Bandar Seri Begawan Bei Ren Long. Members who have not yet received their ballot can contact the following numbers: 8819488 (Li Guiqiang), 8751869 (Li Ronghua).
In addition, those who still owe annual fees are requested to pay to their respective regional representatives.
The association will publicly count the votes at 2:00 p.m. on the 29th of this month (Saturday) at the Seria Kinghua Restaurant, and all members and media are welcome to attend and supervise the ballot counting to ensure fairness.
