(Bandar Seri Begawan, 26th) As part of its ongoing commitment to community care and educational empowerment, Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) Nursing Department today donated a substantial sum to the Ri’ayah Wa Mahabbah Program. This program, under the Ministry of Education's Schools Division, aims to support students facing school challenges.
The donation handover ceremony held today marked the successful conclusion of two far-reaching initiatives. The first was the handover of the donation, raised under the banner of the 2025 International Nurses and Midwives Day (INMD). The funds were collected through JPMC's charity fitness initiatives, “Move for Hope” and “Spin for Hope”, with the aim of supporting students facing educational challenges.
The donation was handed over by Ms. Chung Yea Fui, Director of JPMC Nursing, and received by Hjh Marina Chek, Director of the Schools Department of the Ministry of Education.
The second part of the event was the handover of items collected through the “Line of Hope” initiative. This is a corporate social responsibility (CSR) project led by JPMC’s Public Relations Department, collecting clothing and essential items.
This internal activity encourages staff to donate carefully selected items to help meet the daily needs of students under the Ri’ayah Wa Mahabbah Program. These items were handed over by JPMC Chief Operating Officer Neelakannan Periyasamy to Pengiran Ali Shafie, Head of the Ministry of Education’s Students’ Basic Needs Unit.
Attending the handover ceremony were Chief Financial Officer Bun Pei Ling, Chief Human Resources Officer Salehin, Nursing Department members, Ri’ayah Wa Mahabbah Program members, as well as staff from JPMC and the Ministry of Education.
