WeRide and Lenovo to Deploy 200,000 Autonomous Vehicles Globally over the Next Five Years

WeRide, a global leader in autonomous driving technology, will cooperate with Chinese tech company Lenovo Group to deploy 200,000 autonomous vehicles worldwide over the next five years.

According to a press release published on WeRide’s official website on the 27th, WeRide and Lenovo Group announced on the 24th the further upgrade of their global strategic partnership. Building on existing cooperation, the two parties plan to deploy 200,000 autonomous vehicles such as Robotaxis around the world over the next five years, comprehensively accelerating large-scale commercial adoption of L4-level autonomous driving.

WeRide is the autonomous driving company with the broadest global presence, having carried out R&D, testing, and operations in 12 countries and more than 40 cities, thereby building a leading technological system and mature commercial capabilities.

Lenovo, leveraging its outstanding heterogeneous computing capabilities as well as a global manufacturing and supply chain network, provides stable and scalable computing infrastructure and system engineering capabilities for large-scale fleets.

The deep integration of their strengths enables the seamless link from cloud to vehicle, speeding up the comprehensive deployment of Physical AI in real mobility scenarios.
