(Miri, 5th) The Sarawak Premier, YAB Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, visited Miri today, engaging in a series of Eid visits. He went to the private residences of various leaders to celebrate the festive occasion with people from all ethnic groups, creating a lively and joyous festive atmosphere.
The Premier's first stop was at the residence of Dato Haji Usop Sani Wahab, former Lambir assemblyman and chairman of the Malay Welfare Trust Board, located at Lot 2334, Jalan Bulan 4B/1, Jalan Pujut 7D, to attend his Eid open house and celebrate with his family.
Dato Haji Usop has long been actively promoting community development, earning the love and respect of the people. The Sarawak Premier’s visit not only highlights the deep friendship between the state government and local leaders but also reflects a high level of recognition and gratitude for his contributions.

Afterwards, Abang Johari proceeded to Bagan Road to attend the Eid open house event hosted by the Deputy Minister of Health, YB Dato’ Lukanisman Awang Sauni. The event attracted many participants from different ethnic groups and social classes, creating a lively and warm atmosphere, fully showcasing the harmony and unity of Malaysia's multiculturalism.
Following this, the Premier also visited the residence of YB Datuk Dr Ripin Lamat, Deputy Minister of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development and Lambir assemblyman, located at Jalan Acorus, Off Jalan Airport, engaging warmly with community residents and demonstrating the Sarawak government leadership’s people-friendly style.

Other guests attending today's series of activities included Sarawak Minister of Transport and Simanggang assemblyman Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin, Minister of Utilities and Communications Dato Sri Julaihi Narawi, Deputy Minister of Utilities and Communications Dato Ibrahim Baki, Sarawak State Secretary Datu Amar Jaul Samion, Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Department (Labour, Immigration and Project Monitoring) Dato Gerawat Gala, and Miri Mayor Adam Yii.
Tonight, Abang Johari will attend the Eid dinner jointly organized by five branches of PBB Miri at Pullman Miri Hotel, continuing to celebrate the festival with local residents.
