(Miri, 22nd) Miri Member of Parliament Chiew Choon Man recently, in coordination with the Miri constituency's community-friendly program, visited the Miri Integrated Clinic, UTC Clinic, and Mapol Road Clinic, and donated medical equipment worth 149,000 Ringgit to the clinics to improve their facilities for providing more efficient healthcare services.
Chiew Choon Man donated medical and non-medical equipment valued at 118,000 Ringgit to Mapol Road Clinic, while the Miri Integrated Clinic received equipment worth 5,000 Ringgit, and the UTC Clinic received medical equipment worth 26,000 Ringgit.
Among the equipment donated to Mapol Road Clinic, there are two sets of customer rotation systems valued at 49,100 Ringgit, aiding the clinic in offering better customer service. Furthermore, Chiew Choon Man donated six chairs worth a total of 900 Ringgit to make the occupational therapy room's clients comfortable, and an incubator valued at 9,500 Ringgit was specifically donated for the clinic's laboratory services. He also donated physical therapy medical equipment worth 40,700 Ringgit, occupational therapy medical equipment valued at 8,300 Ringgit, and general medical equipment worth 9,500 Ringgit.
The UTC Clinic received 26,000 Ringgit worth of medical equipment, including digital blood pressure monitors, fetal Dopplers, and digital minimum and maximum thermometers, while the Miri Integrated Clinic received 10 digital minimum and maximum thermometers valued at 5,000 Ringgit.
Chiew Choon Man hopes that the citizens of Miri will make full use of the new facilities he has contributed.
