Kol Allen, the gunman accused of attempting to assassinate US President Trump and breaking into the White House Correspondents' Dinner, took selfies in his hotel room before the crime.
Prosecutors pointed out on the 29th that, just minutes before committing the act, Allen browsed websites reporting Trump’s whereabouts, armed himself, and took a selfie with his phone in front of the hotel room’s mirror.
The photos show him dressed in black clothes, wearing a red tie, carrying a knife, a handgun shoulder holster, and an item alleged to be an ammunition pouch. As he left the room, he sent a pre-set email to family and friends that included a manifesto explaining his actions.
Details of Allen’s preparations for the attack were revealed in a document filed to request that the Federal Court in Washington deny his bail.
