(Bandar Seri Begawan, 13th) The Tourism Development Department under the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism, in collaboration with Safe Fast Training Academy, held the first session of its Basic First Aid Training Course on the 7th of this month at the ministry. The course participants were 19 tourism service operators registered with the Tourism Development Department.
This training aims to provide tourism service operators with basic knowledge and preliminary steps for handling emergencies that may arise during tourism activities.
The course content covers cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), treatment of minor injuries, and responses to common situations such as fainting and heatstroke. It also introduces the basic procedures for providing first aid to tourists in Bandar Seri Begawan.
The organizers stated that conducting such training not only improves the preparedness and responsiveness of tourism service operators in handling emergencies but also helps boost the confidence of both domestic and international visitors, giving Brunei a competent, responsible, and professional tourism service team.
This initiative is an important part of the Tourism Development Department’s ongoing efforts to promote national tourism service safety standards and quality enhancement.
