Former member of the Korean girl group 'Girls’ Generation,' Jessica (Jung Soo-yeon), who has been active in China for many years—having participated in 'Sisters Who Make Waves' (Season 3) and 'Great Dance Crew'—previously got involved in a contract dispute with her Chinese management company. She was accused of breaching the contract and privately taking on jobs, and was ordered to pay 12 million RMB (approximately 6.97 million MYR) in damages.

Yesterday (13th), it was reported that Jessica is facing another lawsuit. The plaintiff is demanding that she return a 10 million RMB (about 5.81 million MYR) advance payment, as well as 3 million RMB (about 1.74 million MYR) in penalty fees, and 100,000 RMB (about 58,000 MYR) in legal fees—a total of 13.1 million RMB (about 7.61 million MYR). Since the complaint and related documents could not be delivered to Jessica directly, a public notice was issued instead. The case is scheduled for trial on August 19.

In response, Jessica’s management company, Coridel Entertainment, issued a statement saying: A significant amount of unfounded rumors and malicious speculation about Jessica has surfaced on online platforms. All such reports are pure fabrication, have no basis in fact, and are entirely untrue. The company made no comment regarding the details of the lawsuit.
