On the 28th, a state-owned enterprise in China launched the country's first automotive chip standard verification platform in Shenzhen. According to officials, this move will accelerate the building of a self-reliant and controllable automotive chip industry ecosystem, fully initiating the process of advanced automotive chip localization during the '15th Five-Year Plan' period.
According to a press release from the Shenzhen municipal government, the '2025 Automotive Chip Ecosystem Conference (CACC) and Annual Meeting of the China Automotive Chip Standard Testing and Certification Alliance' will be held in Pingshan, Shenzhen on the 29th. The event will gather over 300 guests from automotive manufacturers, chip enterprises, industry organizations, and research institutions attending in person.
During the conference, a ceremony was held for the establishment of Zhongqi Core (Shenzhen) Technology Co., Ltd., the signing of a strategic cooperation for the settlement of the central enterprise joint venture in Pingshan, the release of the achievements of the automotive-grade chip HSMT ecosystem construction, and the release of the achievements of the automotive-grade chip RISC-V ecosystem construction. In addition, the country's first public service platform for full-standard verification of automotive-grade chips was launched.
Shenzhen officials stated that the successful holding of the conference is an important initiative in implementing the deployment of the '15th Five-Year Plan' by the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. The focus will be on addressing key bottleneck issues in automotive-grade chips, filling gaps in the automotive chip industry chain, and establishing a domestically leading and world-class 'national team' for automotive chip standard verification and testing. This will promote China’s achievement of self-reliance and control over automotive chips during the '15th Five-Year Plan' period and enhance China’s automotive chip testing capabilities. At the same time, through 'central enterprise integration + central-local cooperation + industry chain synergy', China will continuously improve the level of scientific and technological self-sufficiency and self-strengthening.
