(Seria, 2nd) The Seria Hainan Association grandly convened its 2025 annual general meeting, the inauguration ceremony for the new board of directors and women's group on New Year's Day 2026, and held the presentation of academic excellence awards for members' children and respect-for-the-elderly allowances. The event was solemn and grand, demonstrating the unity and spirit of heritage of the association.
The general assembly was held in a solemn and orderly atmosphere, with all members gathering together to jointly review the achievements of the past year's work and witness the swearing-in of the new leadership team. The meeting began with the seating of the recorders and presidium members, followed by all standing solemnly to sing the association anthem, creating a dignified and respectful scene. The association also arranged a three-minute moment of silence to deeply mourn deceased members, which was a touching moment.
At the meeting, members unanimously approved the record of the 2025 annual assembly. After the speech by the 2025 executive chairman Kong Fanci, the assembly successively heard work reports, financial reports, as well as reports from the youth and women's groups, all of which were substantial and widely recognized by members.
One of the important segments of the day was the swearing-in and handover ceremony of the new board of directors and women's group for the 2026-2027 term. New directors, women's group and other organizational members took the oath of office, with the ceremony supervised by the former president Kong Fanci, symbolizing the passing of responsibility and the continuity of tradition. The assembly also announced that the outgoing president Kong Fanci was officially appointed Permanent Honorary President by the new board, in recognition of his outstanding leadership and contributions over the years.
The new president, Zhan Zunguang, subsequently delivered his inaugural speech, thanking members for their trust and promising to work hand in hand with the team to promote continuous growth of the association and the inheritance and development of the Hainanese spirit.
The assembly also discussed member proposals and opened the floor for opinions and exchanges, demonstrating a spirit of democratic participation. In addition, elderly allowances and academic excellence awards for students were presented, reflecting the association's mission of caring for the elderly and valuing education and talent cultivation. This year, a total of 36 students received academic excellence awards for their outstanding achievements. Gift packs were also prepared for children in attendance, adding to the warm atmosphere.
The meeting ended in an enthusiastic and harmonious atmosphere, with members sharing a lunch afterward, further strengthening bonds and deepening camaraderie.
