(Bandar Seri Begawan, 6th) Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), through its health centre (UniHEALTH) in collaboration with the Student Affairs Office (HEP), has launched the 'November 2025 Men's Health Awareness Campaign.' This month-long campaign aims to promote the health and well-being of male students and staff.
The event began with a welcoming speech by Dr. Dini Rudita, Deputy Director of the Health Centre and Co-Chair of the 'November 2025 Men's Health Awareness Campaign.'
The campaign kicked off with a lecture titled 'Men and Anabolic Steroids: Fitness Supplements and Their Impact on Health,' delivered by Mr. Zhang Wenqiang, Director of Compliance and Licensing, Pharmaceutical Services Department, Ministry of Health.
The lecture focused on the increasingly serious issue of men abusing supplements and its impact on their physical and mental health. This was followed by an interactive dialogue session where participants could openly discuss and clarify misconceptions about men's health.
Throughout November and December, several exciting campaign events will take place, including the 'Blue Walkathon' on November 12, 2025, which aims to raise awareness about prostate cancer and encourage a healthy and active lifestyle within the UBD campus.
Following that, on November 14, 2025, UniHEALTH and Psychological First Aid Responders (PFAr) will organise an interactive mental health lecture and mindfulness workshop; and on December 10, 2025, a health talk titled 'Jom Ngopi & Sembang tentang Prostat dan Andropause' (Let’s Chat About Prostate and Andropause) will be held to encourage open dialogue and reduce the stigma associated with men's health issues.
This campaign reflects UBD's strong commitment to fostering a healthy, supportive, and inclusive campus environment.
