(Bandar Seri Begawan, 31st) Chinese Ambassador Xiao Jianguo recently attended the Brunei Chinese Enterprises Association's year-end summary meeting and presented awards to outstanding and excellent enterprises.
Nearly a hundred participants including the President of the Brunei Chinese Enterprises Association, Li Feng, honorary presidents, vice presidents, directors, and representatives of member enterprises attended the event, accompanied by Counselor Wang Haitao from the embassy.
Ambassador Xiao positively evaluated the contributions made by Chinese enterprises in Brunei towards promoting high-quality joint construction of the "Belt and Road Initiative" between China and Brunei, and deepening pragmatic economic and trade cooperation. He affirmed the outstanding achievements made over the past year.
The ambassador expressed hope that in the new year, all enterprises will continue to earnestly implement the important consensus of the two heads of state, strengthen and optimize their main responsibilities and primary businesses, ensure safe production, adhere to legal, compliant, and clean operations, and further promote stable and long-term relations between the two countries.
