(Kuala Lumpur, 24th) People's Justice Party Information Chief Datuk Seri Fahmi has confirmed that Selangor Menteri Besar and Pakatan Harapan Election Director Datuk Seri Amirudin did meet with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar, but he is not sure whether the topic involved the Melaka state election.
According to reports, Amirudin was to meet with Pakatan Harapan Chairman Datuk Seri Anwar to discuss the possibility of cooperating with Barisan Nasional in the upcoming Melaka state election.
"As far as I know, they met last night, but I'm not certain about what they discussed. Leaders have been meeting over these past couple of days, but whether it was about the same issue, I'm not sure."
In response to former PKR Vice President Tian Chua's comment that some of Pakatan Harapan's political strategies were outdated, Fahmi said that Anwar had made it clear at the recent party congress that it is necessary not only to win back former senior leaders and old members, but also to unite and reach out to broader groups.
He said this will be one of the possible strategies moving forward.
